The Role
To work as part of a small, supportive, friendly team responsible for accurately mixing food ingredients, operating manufacturing equipment, and packaging machines. The role requires repeated manual handling of 25kg ingredient bags so a good level of fitness is essential along with common sense, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and follow a range of food production procedures.
Working hours Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-12noon- no shift work!
Due to the remote but beautiful countryside location of this business you must have access to your own transport as no public transport available.
Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh and mix food ingredients in accordance with production recipes and procedures.
- Repeatedly lift and handle 25kg ingredient bags throughout the working day.
- Operate food mixing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Assist with packaging finished products to required specifications.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Carry out routine cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Work closely with colleagues in a small team environment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report any equipment faults, quality concerns, or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Support other production duties as required.
Candidate Specification
- Physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting and moving 25kg bags
- Due to the remote location MUST have own transport
- Good level of common sense and practical awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Willingness to learn different manufacturing and packaging processes.
- Ability to follow instructions and production procedures accurately.
- Good attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and a flexible approach to work.
Desirable
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, mixing, or warehouse operations.
- FLT licence
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Experience operating production or packaging machinery.
Physical requirements
This is a physically demanding role involving frequent and repeated lifting of 25kg bags, prolonged periods of standing, bending, and manual handling throughout the shift.

Training
Full training will be provided on company manufacturing processes, food hygiene standards, packaging procedures, and the safe operation of production equipment.
