The Role

Beautiful country house hotel located on the edge of North London


Responsibilities

  • Ability to run kitchen sections services in absence of kitchen management, as and when required.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve all items on the menu to a high standard.
  • Preparing food as per seasonal demand
  • Assist in the prep & cooking of all other food required.
  • Following the recipes and presentation specifications whilst preparing food and keeping up to date with any change
  • Mise en place for the following day

Working 45 hours per week over 5 days including weekends and bank holiday

 


Candidate Specification

  • Must have good culinary skills and experience of working as a Chef De Partie in previous role, preferably in a quality restaurant/culinary environment. (would consider an experienced Demi Chef with appropriate skills)
  • Must be well organised, reliable, punctual, and precise with a keen eye for detail & creative.
  • Possess food safety training, relevant culinary qualifications, and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to deal with deliveries and stock carrying/rotation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and being a good team player is essential.
  • Must have an under of food costs and manage food costs to budgeted levels.
  • Efficiently manage relationships with food, drink, and equipment suppliers.
  • Able to work under pressure and use own initiative.
