The Role
Our client in Letchworth, Herts requires a Counter Balance driver to start on a temp-perm basis. Please ensure you have a valid Counter Balance licence before applying!
Main Tasks
- To operate forklift truck within strict Health & Safety guidelines
- Unloading/Loading deliveries
- Checking off, booking in stock
- Transferring materials between warehouse & production
- Pallet management – transporting, stacking, and storing pallets in their respective areas
- Run stock reports and investigate discrepancies
- Performing general stock checks
- Waste management – emptying skips / organising recycling / disposing of pallets
- Assist with loading of containers and trailers
- Provide cover where required
- Maintain high level of housekeeping in warehouses & compounds
- Microsoft Office desirable
- Counterbalance FLT-ESSENTIAL
- To work unsupervised in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
- To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
- To report any unsafe acts or Health, Safety and Environmental incidents

Candidate Specification
- FLT Certification – counterbalance is essential this must be valid and in date, client cannot accept In-house licence.
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment is essential as limited training available
- Available to work full time hours 7am-3pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-2.30pm Friday
- Hourly rate offered is £14.20 an hour
