Production Operator-Day shifts
Our Hitchin based client is looking for two experienced Production Operatives to join a friendly established team, working for a company that values team spirit and gives employees the freedom to be creative and innovative.
You will need experience in the following sectors; PCB, Re-work and Soldering to be considered for these exciting new positions.
Hours and Pay
£13.70 an hour
Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm
Friday 7.30am-12.30pm
39 hours per week
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical production tasks using hand tools, mechanical drivers, test, and calibration equipment.
- Hand solder PCBAs, including rework of PTH and SMT components, to industry standards.
- Carry out precision soldering for aviation applications, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines at all times.
- Meet production targets and quality standards set by Production Management.
- Work efficiently and effectively, both independently and within a team environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and colleagues of varying skill levels.
- Support daily production requirements to consistently meet customer expectations.
- Communicate proactively with the Production Supervisor regarding performance issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems, ensuring timely resolution.
- Recognise and resolve critical issues quickly to maintain workflow and product quality.
- Build effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive quality and performance.
- Maintain high standards of communication across all levels of the organisation.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Uphold quality standards in every task and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- Demonstrate and reinforce company values through daily actions and teamwork.
Candidate Specification
- Previous experience Soldering, PCB and re-work
- Able to start work with immediate effect
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
