The Role

Warehouse/Samples Operative

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Samples Operative to join our dynamic team in Letchworth, Herts. This role involves managing various aspects of warehouse operations, including handling samples and materials, ensuring efficient stock management, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical knowledge, and experience with ERP warehouse management systems. Working hours are 8am-4pm Monday-Friday

  • Handling materials efficiently, including picking, packing, stocking, and organising samples and goods
  • Managing inventory using ERP warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Assisting with shipping and couriers and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
  • Conducting quality control checks on samples and products to maintain high standards
  • Performing heavy lifting as required to move items within the warehouse
  • Supporting stock replenishment activities to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Ensuring the warehouse area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

 


Responsibilities

 

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including ERP stock management and order fulfilment with past knowledge
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems or similar software
  • Experience in shipping & receiving processes
  • Strong skills in materials handling, picking & packing, stocking, and load & unload procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-moving environment

 


Candidate Specification

 

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including ERP stock management and order fulfilment with past knowledge
