Sharing Our Success!

Having successfully completed our first year of trading and reaching the finals of this years’ Hertfordshire Business Awards, we wanted to share some of our success by donating to a local charity.
After researching local Hitchin charities, we decided on Hitchin Lego Club who were formed in September 2015 for autistic children. (please see below for more detailed information on the charity and how to contact them).
Louise presented Nicola Ponikiewski founder of the club with two boxes of Minecraft Lego, a suggestion from Nicola who felt the children would be delighted with the gift as it’s the latest craze in Lego terms.
Louise and Dee, Directors of Fresh Recruit have decided that they would like to be more involved with local charities and will be looking to make quarterly donations to much needed organisations in and around the Hitchin area.

Hitchin Lego Club
Is for children and young people (5-15years) with autism (and their siblings) to meet up to play with LEGO. It was founded by a former Goslings parent who found that some other group activities such a Beavers or football were not geared towards children on the spectrum. After visiting a similar club in St. Albans we decided to set up something in Hitchin. The group provides the opportunity for children to make new friends and for parents and carers to meet and share experiences over a coffee.
We meet up on the first Saturday of the month (term-time only) at the Hitchin Youth Trust, 111 Walsworth Road, Hitchin SG4 9SP
Pre-bookings only due to limited capacity at the venue. We ask that those interested in attending register with us via e-mail and make a booking when we open our list.

The club is an affiliate of HARC the local branch of the National Autistic Society.
